A shocking new video was released that showed the haunting final moments before a seaplane carrying passengers ended up crashing in a river in New York.
The daunting final moments featured passengers clinging to one another as they feared the worst, as the plane could be seen going down in the water.
The seaplane reportedly had eight people on board and ended up making a very hard landing on New York's East River, which left the plane partially submerged. The incident involved a Kodiak 100 plane that was operated by Arcadian Seaplanes through Blade Air.
It all happened on a Sunday morning as the plane approached the Skyport terminal near 23rd Street and FDR Drive. Footage from inside the cabin revealed a very loud boom upon impact, followed by an immediate rocking as the plane bounced in a violent direction against the choppy waves. While both pilots tried hard to keep passengers calm and keep life vests nearby, it was a daunting experience to say the least.
The aircraft bobbed with one wing submerged, and emergency crews, including the NYPD, swiftly arrived to rescue the passengers and pilots. At least two people suffered minor injuries, but they all made it out alive safely. This marks the second seaplane incident in a month at the same location.
