Shocking reports are speaking about former US Olympic canoeist David Hearn getting indicted by a federal grand jury.

His crime includes the alleged vandalizing the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool. These charges stem from a June 19 incident during which he tore up nearly two square feet of the American flag blue sealant from the pool's bottom basin using his bare hands.
This caused a major financial loss of $1000 in damage. Now, he's facing serious felony charges of destruction of property, carrying a huge potential sentence of nearly a decade in prison.

Hearn, who competed in the 1992, 1996, and 2000 Summer Games, strongly denied these allegations. He maintained more about how he picked up a floating piece of the pool's liner and didn't break or peel off anything. His attorney called these charges so outrageous and something done with a politically themed motive behind it.
