As per a new statement shared on July 1, the FBI made it very clear that certain ransom notes arriving regarding the kidnapping of Nancy remain under investigation as a potentially legitimate ordeal. The new update directly addresses a former report from leading media outlet Reuters that spoke about an anonymous source clarifying that all ransom demands were fraudulent in nature.
While the FBI confirmed that certain notes were indeed extortion scams, others were yet to be ruled out in this regard. Nancy Guthrie was kidnapped from Arizona on February 1, and since then, the family has been waiting for answers regarding any clues about what might have happened to her or where she might be.
The family says they've been through the most challenging times in the past few months and really need someone with information to come forward.
