Restaurant blasted for publicly shaming customers with tipping demand

While many countries might support a tipping culture, there are plenty of those who do not.

And no matter what the case might be, some people hold very strong opinions about tipping, and this next story is proof of just that. One restaurant is under fire for throwing its opinion onto the general public when it comes to the act.

While the dining location is yet to be named, an unknown restaurant owner has given rise to a massive and fierce debate about a sign they've posted right outside the window. This demands that customers consider it mandatory to tip their underpaid staff.

The sign says that since their servers make around $3.50 per hour, they need to be treated better by customers. What made matters worse is how they remind diners that if eating out is affordable, then so is tipping.

The incident swiftly sparked backlash online, with more than 2.6 million views being attained on the controversial topic.
