A father is now facing the consequences of 'forgetting' about his own child while on his way to work during the heatwave. Sources shared how the dad was distracted by a sudden change in his daily routine while on his way to work, forgetting that there was actually an infant inside who was still strapped into the car's back seat.
The heartbroken dad says he assumed that he had already dropped the child at the nursery in Marseille, France, but in reality, the baby was still inside the vehicle. Unknowingly, the dad parked his car under the blazing sun and went right into the office to perform his usual duty. But when he came back out, it was just too late.
The temperatures outside had soared to new highs, and the vehicle swiftly changed into a greenhouse, going past 110 degrees. The dad says he had come out after a relative had called to check on the infant, and that's when he realized his grave mistake.
Despite paramedics rushing to the scene and resuscitation efforts being done on the child, it was too late. He was pronounced dead due to hyperthermia.
