A 23-year-old UK-based TikTok influencer is begging for help after shocking reports about a death penalty by firing squad that is said to take place after she was accused of murder.
Brooke George says she's facing possible execution by a firing squad in the UAE after she received charges for premeditated murder. The former department store worker who hails from Kent was arrested on June 22 following the fatal stabbing of her 26-year-old partner. The duo reportedly met online.
As per one advocacy group, George says she acted in a strict manner of self-defense and nothing else. Her family claims her second trip to the UAE was a very abusive one thanks to her partner. This is why she had to take matters into her own hands, as the controlling nature and violence were getting out of hand.
After a violent altercation, she reportedly punched him as she tried to flee from his grasp. When she came back to retrieve her passport, she defended her life with a kitchen knife that hit him and led to his death. But human rights officers are having huge concerns about how she's treated, including reports about how she was forced to strip naked in front of male officers and denied access to the UK embassy.
