Hillstone Restaurant Group, which is considered a leading competitor in terms of upscale casual dining for dining outlets like Olive Garden, shared a very shocking dress code policy. This includes banning casual attire across different properties. While Olive Garden operates under the most relaxed and family-friendly atmosphere, Hillstone properties enforce a more high-end environment that completely outlaws five major clothing categories.
This includes a ban on sportswear, gym and athletics, sleeveless shirts, casual footwear, and revealing attire. This dress up or get out trend caused some fury on social media as they felt that dining is now becoming more difficult in such casual settings because of these rules.
