A three-year-old girl has tragically lost her life due to the neglect of her own parents.
Little Joycelynn Ann Dylewski, whose parents are Matthew and Samantha, was recently sentenced to prison in New York after grim details regarding this case were revealed.
The details surrounding the matter highlighted the extreme form of child endangerment and the legal outcomes that arose after them. Emergency responders were called after Jocelynn had been struggling to breathe and was soon pronounced dead upon arrival at the Saratoga Hospital.
Investigators shared more about how they found the girl living in the most deplorable and squalid conditions. A serious, untreated head lice infestation had plagued her for so long, draining her blood supply to the point that it resulted in serious anemia.
Furthermore, insects started to hover on her face and scalp. Soon, her teeth were rotten and blackened, and she had gotten no medical care for at least 10 months. Shockingly, autopsy results shared the presence of Clonidine, which is a prescription blood pressure and sedative medication found in her system.
Messages shared how her parents gave it to her with no prescription to try to keep her silent. Now, they've both pleaded guilty to criminally negligent homicide.
