Teen Gunman Kills Two and Leaves more Injured after Opening Fire Inside Library

Tragic reports have confirmed the death of two people after a teenage gunman stormed into a library.

The incident reportedly took place in California, and the suspect is now in custody, as confirmed by the police. The incident arose on Monday during the afternoon hours when the armed suspect arrived at the Butte County Library in Northern California.

Cops responded to several 911 calls at about 5:12 pm local time, reporting gunshots and screaming from within that small library. Two unnamed adults were killed, and one child was said to be rushed to the hospital after getting injured. Doctors shared that he is expected to survive and didn't suffer any life-threatening injuries.

The incident during the evening hours was very sad and traumatic for several people and a huge tragedy for the community, the police chief shared during a news conference. He shared how the library was open at the time that the shooter arrived. The suspect tried to flee through the building's back door but was soon taken into custody.

At the moment, multiple agencies are working with the cops to assist with the investigation.
