The message reportedly featured a very disturbing apology that went on to speak about how she passed away during a kidnapping plot.
As per reports from local media outlets, this email was sent a few days after she was kidnapped to TMZ. It was also noted how the IP address was the same as the first note sent out on February 2, which comprised a blackmail tone.
The letter reportedly spoke about how Nancy had suffered an accidental death and that her remains could be given back to the family, but at a specific cost, meaning ransom.
The investigators did mention how they feared that this note was legitimate and credible due to the same address as the first letter. This featured details about Nancy, including what she was wearing, which is something only a loved one or a potential kidnapper would know.
Other details spoke about specific details linked to her home, like a broken floodlight that only someone who entered the premises would be aware of. At first, the kidnappers demanded $4 million in bitcoin and described the victim as safe but scared before they rolled out the escalation in the form of an apology, days later.
