A ten-year-old boy named Asher Thompson is currently fighting for his life in a drug-induced coma after a freak bicycle accident occurred in Pasco County, Florida.
The accident took place on State Road 52 in Hudson, where the boy reportedly rode his bike through traffic and was hit by one car, and was thrown directly into the path of another oncoming pickup truck.
Asher was trying to cross the highway near Victory Drive when the double collision took place. He was airlifted to St. Joseph's Children's Hospital in Tampa.
He sustained several broken bone injuries, but doctors were more concerned with his serious, life-threatening injuries linked to his brain.
His devastated mother, Jackie Almeida, shared more about how doctors told her there might be nothing more that they can do medically here. If he does survive, he faces full-time care. 'All I can really do now is pray for a miracle. I cannot lose him- she mentioned to reporters.
