Tragic reports have confirmed how the police searching for a three-month-old boy have now found the remains of an infant.
The boy was reportedly kidnapped in Germany, and an immediate urgent police investigation and search was conducted in the area. Now, this harrowing discovery of a baby's body has been confirmed by authorities.
The 3-month-old child went missing late on Thursday night, in the town of Rennigen under the jurisdiction of the Ludwigsburg Police Headquarters. The child's grandmother and police spokesperson confirmed how the infant was shortly left unattended inside a stroller outside on the sidewalk while the mother carried grocery bags up to the second-floor apartment. When she got back, the baby was gone, and the stroller was left behind empty.
Police launched a massive search involving 50 police officers, 40 search dogs, helicopters, and drones equipped with thermal imaging cameras. While the police suspect that the infant's body belongs to the same missing child, forensic investigations are taking place to confirm this.
