Tragic reports are speaking about a 36-year-old veteran rock climber named Brad Parker who experienced what he called the happiest day of his life.
This joy was only short-lived as the moment soon turned into his final moments before his death. Parker and his lover had scaled the majestic Cathedral Peak in Yosemite National Park. He was surrounded by the breathtaking Sierra Nevada landscape.
He proposed to his lover, and she happily accepted. Shortly after this celebration, the pair separated for the afternoon, but he made sure to tell her one final message about how this was the happiest he's ever been in his life. Little did he know about what lay ahead. While Dial headed back down, Parker went on a solo and unsupported training push. He wished to traverse a peak called Matthes Crest, where a dynamic granite ridge, known as narrow shark fin exposure, and towering 300-foot drops were found.
Despite being so experienced, he was climbing alone and chose no ropes. Witnesses claim they saw the horror of his falling 300 feet to the ground.
