The tragic victim of a huge fire that ripped through the Caribbean beach resort has been identified as a 46-year-old TV personality from Italy named Francesca Valentino.
The catastrophic blaze ended up breaking out at the Viva Dominicus Bayahibe Resort located in the country. The blaze managed to engulf the whole luxury property, spread rapidly, and forced nearly 1700 panicked tourists to flee for their lives.
Emergency services, including the DAEH emergency service, responded to the scene as dramatic footage and drone videos captured the scale of destruction taking place. This showed how the resort was seriously damaged by the flames as thousands ran in an attempt to flee for their lives.
The victim was a famous TV figure and mother, and happened to be staying at the resort when this blaze broke out and tore through the complex.
