A 59-year-old woman from Brazil has reportedly become the second victim in just one week who fell to her death in a freak hiking accident after the viral bungee tragedy.

Rosemary Suzart Garcia passed away after falling nearly 100 feet from a cliff during a hiking trip at Grutas do Spar in Marica, Brazil. As per reports, she stepped onto a short path near a scenic overlook and was said to be busy applying insect repellent on her body when she lost her balance and fell to her death.

Witnesses shared more about how the hiking guide made an attempt to grab her arm and stop the fall, but was just not able to stop it without risking being pulled over the edge as well. Garcia was wearing protective hiking equipment, including a helmet and gloves, during the time of this incident. Firefighters later found her remains at the base of the cliff.
