A trio of bumbling bungee instructors who threw a student off a bridge without any rope attached claim they cannot remember who was given the task of tethering her.
21 year old Maria Eduarda Rodrigues de Freitas plummeted to her death off Brazil's 130-foot skeleton bridge while her fiancé watched in sheer horror after Luis Felipe Feliciano Egoroff forgot to secure the bungee cord.
The instructors admitted to investigators that they blacked out and could not remember who was supposed to attach the safety line. In newly released interrogation footage that was attained recently, the instructors discussed their alleged involvement leading up to Rodrigues de Freitas's fatal plunge. While one member said Fernandes Cintra was the one responsible, he also claimed he cannot remember the moments after he took the lead while inching Rodrigues towards the edge.
'After that, it was erased from my mind,'- he continued.
