Family’s Nightmare as Two children, aged under five, are killed after car plows into stroller

Two young kids have passed away while their mother has been injured after a car ended up ploughing into the trio.

The kids, aged one and five, were said to be pushed inside the pram when they were struck by the vehicle at the intersection of Joseph and Gilbert Street in Cabramatta, south-west Sydney, at 3:15 pm today.

Fairfield City Police's Acting Superintendent Timothy Calman mentioned more about how members of the public played a phenomenal part in trying to save the kids. 'We had a number of motorists stop and collectively tip this car onto the side in order to get one of the kids free from under the car,' he added.

Bystanders were seen assisting with the CPR. This crash is said to be the second deadliest one to arise on Australian roads today, after a girl was killed in a multi-vehicle pile-up that also left seven more injured in West Melbourne at 4:30 pm.
