Tragic reports are speaking about the death of an unborn baby who passed away in South London after a car fleeing from a police pursuit crashed into the same vehicle as the child's parents' on Saturday night.
The collision arose at about 11:30 pm on Lewisham Way, New Cross. Cops shared how they had initiated this pursuit after identifying a suspect vehicle displaying a cloned number plate. When asked to pull over, the car simply refused. Moments later, the fleeing suspect could be seen ploughing into a car that had a heavily pregnant woman and her partner inside, both in their 20s.

Emergency workers from the London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade rushed to the scene for assistance. Sadly, despite the mother being rushed to the hospital, paramedics and medical staff were ultimately unable to save the unborn child. As investigations continue, the mother remains in the hospital in a stable condition, while her partner was treated for minor injuries.

The driver of the fleeing vehicle was identified as a 29-year-old man who was arrested after being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. He's being held on suspicion of several offenses, including causing death due to dangerous driving.
