Tragic reports are speaking about a mother of three who was shot dead by her own former husband at a law firm while signing divorce papers.
This fatal shooting of Icicleia Alves Veloso by her estranged partner, Romildo Veloso e Silva, occurred on June 3, 2026. This was inside a law firm in Brazil.
The pair were separated for nearly three months, and met at the law office to finalize their asset division and sign the official divorce papers. During this meeting, the 69-year-old doctor, local councilman, and four-term former mayor of Ourilandia do Norte requested a few more minutes of privacy from these attorneys to speak with his 41-year-old wife alone.
As per reports from the cops, after the lawyer left the room, Romildo attacked his wife using a firearm. He then moved to a separate area of the office where he shot himself. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His wife was found unconscious by emergency responders and was rushed to the hospital, and soon transferred in critical condition, but she succumbed to her injuries last week.
