A 32-year-old woman who was born without arms is speaking about how her adoptive mother was a physical therapist to disabled kids, both with mental disabilities and physical disabilities. She was born in Vietnam, but her adopted mother was in the US.
Since she had a lot of exposure with such patients throughout her career, she had a very special place for disabled kids and felt a calling to care for them in different ways.
Her mother ended up adopting six kids with a host of cognitive and physical disabilities. This includes a combo of both disabilities. But it was not only this, but Anna says her mother also fostered between 60 and 80 kids over the years, in both short-term and long-term capacities.
Anna mentioned how, due to her mom's career, she had a very different mindset and didn't shy away from adopting her, and for that, she will be forever careful, as she couldn't imagine being with anyone else, as the love her adopted mother gave her was immense.
