World's tallest woman forced to book SIX plane seats and has to be carried on via stretcher when she flies

The world's tallest woman, who is 7 feet and 0.7 inches, must book at least six economy seats if she wishes to travel anywhere around the globe.

Rumeysa Gelgi shared more about her hardships to travel, including how she needs to make use of a customized stretcher setup whenever she flies. Due to her rare genetic condition called Weaver Syndrome and serious scoliosis, her spine contains two long rods and 30 screws.

These medical implants stop her from sitting in an upright position for more than two hours at a single time, making a standard airplane seat an impossibility. To ensure long-distance travel is possible, carriers such as Turkish Airlines temporarily modify their aircraft cabins. Ground crews need to physically remove six consecutive economy seats from a row. Technicians then secure a special medical stretcher over the cleared area.
