Shocking reports are speaking about a lottery player who thought he won big but was denied his mega prize in the end.
Officials reportedly cited that the win was not real and credited the error to a tech issue, leaving people stunned. Mike Fields says he was mortified to learn that he had not won the $10,000 that was present on the scratch-off ticket for the Space Invaders Cash Invasion game in Indiana.
Fields, who played four different cards in total, eventually ended up scanning his winning ticket. But he mentioned that he was notified about how it was actually only worth $20 as per local media outlets.
Officials cleared the air and said that it was not a win and apologized for the tech issue. The game reportedly features a rocket ship symbol that, after scratching, enables players to win prizes listed below the rocket. In this case, he mentioned how the ticket showed $100k.
'They never told us No! They just said that he wouldn't be paid today. And no other information was given, really, except that he would be informed by mail within a month- his relatives shared. The outlet also shared how he was not the only winner who faced this discrepancy.
