37-year-old Vanessa Sanchez, a woman from California, had been courageously battling stage 4 breast cancer. And sources have confirmed now that she was found dead inside a suitcase in her Berkeley apartment on May 30.
Her lover, 28-year-old Damarcus David Jones, was arrested and charged with her murder. The case is currently developing, and local media reports shared more about how loved ones grew concerned about the victim after she stopped responding to calls and messages.

After a welfare check, authorities discovered her remains inside a suitcase that was present in her home. Security footage traced her final days, showing her entering the building with Jones on May 24, and capturing Jones returning two days later with a large black colored roller suitcase.
Court records indicated more about how Jones admitted to killing Sanchez and concealing her remains, citing how he opened the windows and used an air purifier because he knew that the body would soon begin to decompose and smell.

An autopsy was performed that showed how Sanchez suffered from several injuries, including serious injury to the head from blunt force trauma and neck injuries.
