Tragic reports have confirmed that a father shot dead his twin sons at a birthday party before turning the gun on himself.
A 37-year-old dad shot and killed his twins during a recent family gathering, as reported by neighbors and family. The incident reportedly took place inside an apartment on Owensmouth Avenue in Canoga Park, LA.
According to the LAPD, the boys' mom heard gunshots and ran into a bedroom to investigate what was going on. This is where the father was seen closing the door, pulling out a handgun, and firing a shot at the mother. It missed her, but moments later, he turned the gun on himself and died.
Both the father and his twins were pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders. The mother was physically unharmed by this gunfire. The LAPD says they're currently investigating the matter in detail and have yet to release the father's name.
