A teenager was killed, and an 11-year-old was among three people wounded when gunfire erupted outside a California high school graduation ceremony.
The horror unfolded in the parking lot of Fairfield High School shortly after a commencement ceremony arose for Sem Yeto High School ended on Wednesday evening.
Police shared how the 18-year-old was shot dead at the scene, while three others, aged 11, 20, and 25, were rushed to the hospital after the attack.
The shooting broke out at about 7:15 pm near Schafer Stadium in Fairfield, Northern California, as families, friends, graduates, and more gathered outside following the incident.
School officials shared how the violence arose moments after the graduation had ended, prompting police to declare a large-scale incident. Authorities are yet to confirm if the 18-year-old victim was a student or not.
