A flesh-eating parasitic worm has been discovered in the US once again, as per local media outlets.
In a post that was shared through social media on Wednesday, the US Secretary of Agriculture was seen confirming the presence of the condition as the New World screwworm. As expected, the detection of the screwworm fly in a 3-week-old bovine in Zavala County, Texas, was made, the USDA shared.
Officials are now taking immediate action to contain and remove the NWS from this area. Her message was a new update, alerting the public that she had already met with nearly 50 Texas cattle ranchers to talk about the development in the southern part of the state.
