Tragic reports are speaking about a groom being killed and a bride left injured in a terrifying helicopter crash after their Georgia wedding reception.
The tragedy took place in Dawson County, Georgia, on Friday night, when the groom, named Dave Fiji, and the pilot, named Nikhil Nargundkar, both died. The incident also left the bride, named Jesni Fiji, seriously injured.
Sources shared how the incident took place after 10 pm as the couple departed their wedding reception at the Revere Wedding and Events Venue in Dawsonville, Georgia. The couple boarded a Robinson R66 helicopter that was operated by Prestige Helicopters. The duo planned to fly to DeKalb Peachtree Airport before departing for their honeymoon.
Heavy rain and fog, as well as low visibility conditions, were said to be major factors that might have led to the fatal crash as investigations continue.
