Tragic reports have confirmed the death of a 42-year-old British woman who plunged 1600 feet to her death from a mountain in front of her horrified partner on a hike.
Source shared how she fell nearly 500 meters down a mountain slope in the Spanish Pyrenees while she was hiking with her partner. The fall took place on the Balaitus Peak, which is a popular mountain in the Huesca region of northern Spain.
The couple was believed to be crossing a popular but challenging hiking trail known as the Great Diagonal. Emergency services were alerted at about 7:30 pm on Saturday regarding the tragedy. The victim was identified as a British national who was born in the UK but lived in Finland.
Her 53-year-old partner reportedly witnessed the harrowing plunge but was physically unharmed in the incident.
