Seven people, including the suspected gunman, were killed in a tragic incident described as a domestic shooting spree that took place in Muscatine, Iowa, recently.
The victims were said to be all family members, as confirmed by the police. Amongst those killed were two high school students, who died alongside their family members. The active sequence of events and official statements shared by local media outlets spoke about how the tragedy unfolded across different crime scenes in Iowa, including a residence on Park Avenue.
The gunman was identified as 52-year-old Ryan Willis McFarland. When he was confronted by the police on the Riverfront Trail near a bridge, he ended up shooting himself and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Four victims were found in the home, with the two other victims located at the separate Mill Street and Grandview Avenue addresses.
