Passengers take desperate measures to flee as party boat off ‘Paradise Island’ capsizes

A pirate-themed tourist excursion boat carrying 148 passengers, including 20 kids, capsized and sank off the resort coast of Marmaris, Turkey.

Tragic reports shared how the vessel named the Big Boss Diamond was operating a five-hour daily cruise and featured swimming and sightseeing spots. It started tilting and taking on water, becoming nearly entirely submerged within just one hour. Only its pirate-themed masts were left visible above the water as debris and personal belongings started to float across the entire sea.

Fearing that this ship would swiftly go under, passengers were seen resorting to desperate escape measures. Dozens of tourists leaped directly into the deep sea to escape the sinking hull. Evacuees seemed to be swimming away from the ship, leaving all bags, electronics, and gear behind.
