The NYPD has confirmed that it's busy investigating after two separate groups of people were mysteriously seen emerging from sewer manholes located in Brooklyn.
Social media and other local media outlets also shared the news with sensational headlines, sparking fear and panic amongst residents in the area.

They also shared how the respective areas were put on a full tactical lockdown, and officials are now confirming that there is no apparent link to terrorism and these incidents. The individuals are currently being sought for illegal entry and potential charges linked to burglary.

Surveillance footage caught the two separate incidents taking place roughly one hour apart at opposite ends of the borough. In one isolated incident in Williamsburg, eight people were caught at 1 am. In another incident at Gravesend, a group of seven men was caught at 2 am.
