A teenage boy has become the 11th person to die in water during Britain's record-breaking hot weather.
Police were seen scrambling at about 2:55 pm on Wednesday following serious concerns for a swimmer in a pond in Kent.
The remains of a teenage boy were sadly found and pulled from the water, as per the police.
A spokesperson for Kent Police shared reports of concern for a person in water near Galley Hill Road in Dartford. 11 people were tragically killed in separate tragedies after getting into difficulty in water at popular beauty spots during the hot weather.
The body of a 15-year-old Abbie Carmody Pepper was found off Burrow Beach near Howth, Dublin, by the Irish Coast Guard on Sunday evening. In another tragedy, a 15-year-old died while swimming in a lake near his residence in Lincoln on Sunday.
