The incident arose on Saturday when the 44-year-old woman from Austria, named Sabrina, went paragliding in the northern part of the country's picturesque areas.
All hell broke loose at about 1:15 pm after the plane appeared to tear into her canopy while flying over Pinzgauer mountain, sending her screaming down to earth.
The incident comes nearly one year after Austrian daredevil Felix Baumgartner passed away in this accident in Italy.
