The head of nursing at Camp Mystic in Texas, where 25 young girls died in a terrifying flooding incident last summer, has now had her license suspended after admitting that she abandoned her kids during the horror.
The Texas Board of Nursing ruled out last week that Mary Liz Eastland, whose family owned this facility catering to the state's rich and famous and served as its head health officer, would be presenting a continuing and imminent threat to the public welfare if she were allowed to keep practicing as per the order attained by Houston public media.
Eastland was accused of abandoning her duties by leaving the kids behind as waters from the river in Kerry County surged inside the camp on July 4.
This killed 28 in all, including 25 kids, two teen counselors, and Eastland's father-in-law, who is the camp director, Dick Eastland.
