A Florida High School senior who was described as an absolute sweetheart and a great friend to everyone has now passed away in a car crash, hours before he was set to receive his diploma.
Christopher Brooks was making his way to his graduation practice at South Fork High in Stuart, Fla, on Thursday morning when he smashed straight into the back of a dump truck, as confirmed by local media outlets.
'He drove straight into the back of the dump truck without hitting the brakes and was dead on impact,'- the Sheriff Department mentioned to local media outlets.
Cops suspect Brooks got distracted, but they have not yet been able to rule out what that distraction might have been.
Officers are still not sure if he was wearing his seat belt at the time, but some claim that wouldn't have mattered due to the nature of the crash.
