An American based in the Democratic Republic of the Congo has contracted Ebola in the African nation's latest outbreak.
The CDC shared on Monday that an American doctor working with a medical missionary organization in the DRC developed Ebola after getting exposed through work.
The unidentified individual developed symptoms that could include sudden fever, intense weakness, severe headache, sore throat, and muscle and joint pain.
The infected American is now being evacuated to Germany, as shared by the CDC.
The news comes amid preparations for the FIFA World Cup that will take place in the USA this year in July.
Many are anticipating a great turnout, not to mention the huge lineup of stars that are ready to perform during the first-ever halftime show.
