Two men, including a father of triplets, were killed and three more were left critically injured in Upper Manhattan on Friday when a suspected drunken driver plowed into several parked cars and hopped a curb, leaving behind a bloody trail of destruction.
The motorist was heading northbound near Amsterdam Avenue and West 109th Street in Morningside Heights when he all of a sudden lost control of a black Mercedes-Benz at about 6 pm, as per the NYPD.
One witness, named David Lawrence, called the wreck a horror show and said the out-of-control driver pinned one man under his vehicle.
Sources shared how he was basically crushed between the parking post and the black Mercedes.
It was a very settling sight for many and appeared like a Halloween setup to some.
Surveillance footage showed how the car flew through the intersection. Onlookers mentioned more about how the chain reaction started when the driver sidewiped a car on East 108th Street in Morningside Heights.
