The King's School in Winchester, Hampshire, was locked down after a teacher suffered a major medical accident just before 9 am on Thursday.

An air ambulance was scrambled to the school with a doctor and two advanced paramedics responding to the scene and battling to save her life.

Named locally as Mrs. Bamford, the teacher, who was in her 40s, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene despite the best efforts of medics.
