Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz’s latest red carpet appearance has drawn attention after a brief interaction between the couple appeared to leave Nicola visibly irritated.
The pair attended the Deauville American Film Festival in France on September 8, where they were photographed kissing and embracing before posing separately on the red carpet. Brooklyn, 27, later stepped aside to give his wife a moment in the spotlight as she supported her “Prima” co-star Faye Dunaway, who was receiving the festival’s Icon Award.
Just before moving away, Brooklyn adjusted the train of Nicola’s Alberta Ferretti gown, appearing to move it behind her so she could walk more easily. Nicola, 31, then seemed to give her husband a displeased look as he stood near the barriers.
The moment was captured on video and quickly spread across social media. Some viewers interpreted Nicola’s expression as a sign of tension, while others criticized Brooklyn’s behavior and questioned the dynamic between the couple. Not everyone saw the moment negatively, however. Some fans said his gesture looked sweet and like a typical thing a supportive husband might do.
