A professional wrestling star has died at the age of 40, just one day after stepping into the ring for what would become his final match.

Benjamin Satterley, better known to fans as PAC, died Sunday, September 27, according to All Elite Wrestling. The company announced his death but did not disclose a cause or provide details about the circumstances surrounding it.
The timing of his death has made the news especially heartbreaking for wrestling fans. Satterley had competed at AEW’s All Out event in Chicago on Saturday, September 26, where he faced Andrade El Ídolo for the AEW National Championship. Andrade won the match after countering Satterley’s submission attempt. Satterley also appeared later during the event’s main storyline.

Satterley began his professional wrestling career in 2004 and later became widely known during his WWE run as Adrian Neville and Neville.

He joined AEW in 2019 and went on to win multiple championships, including the inaugural AEW All-Atlantic Championship and the AEW World Trios Championship.
AEW described him as a wrestler known for his innovative high-flying style and incredible ability inside the ring, offering condolences to his family, friends and fans.
