The lone holdout juror in the Lindsay Clancy trial has shared a rare glimpse of his personal life as a fundraiser supporting him has now passed $350,000.
Michael Desronvil, 48, was the only juror who refused to agree with the other 11 jurors during deliberations in Clancy’s murder trial. The disagreement ultimately left the jury deadlocked and led to a mistrial earlier this month.
Now, previously unseen photos of Desronvil with his newborn daughter have been shared by his attorney. One of the pictures was reportedly taken on the day his daughter was born.
The photos come as Desronvil has largely stayed out of the public eye following the highly publicized trial. His attorney has said the juror faced threats, harassment and doxxing after his identity and position in the case became known. According to the attorney, Desronvil has since been moved to a secure location.
The fundraiser, launched to support Desronvil following the fallout from the trial, has attracted hundreds of thousands of dollars in donations. The money is intended to help with expenses including security and lost income, according to reports.
Desronvil has continued to stand by his decision in the case. He has said he did not have doubts about whether Clancy was criminally responsible for the deaths of her three children.
The trial ended without a verdict after the jury could not reach a unanimous decision. Clancy’s defense argued that she was suffering from postpartum psychosis and was not criminally responsible, while prosecutors argued that she was responsible for her actions.
The case remains unresolved, with prosecutors yet to announce whether they will pursue a retrial.
