During the early hours of Sunday, the US Secret Service agents shot and killed a 21-year-old man who ended up breaching the secure perimeter of Mar-a-Lago, which is the Florida Resort that's owned by US President Donald Trump.
The incident took place at about 1:30 pm local time near the property's north gate. The man was identified as Austin Tucker Martin of North Carolina, who had been reported missing by his loved ones shortly before the confrontation arose.
Authorities claim Martin was carrying what appeared to be a shotgun and a fuel canister when officers encountered him. They asked him to drop the items, and while he did put the fuel can down, he raised a shotgun into what was described as a firing position. This is the point where the agents shot him dead.
Now, his family is breaking their silence on the matter. They mentioned how Austin's sister passed away a few years ago from a tragic car crash incident.
Therefore, they are now mourning another shocking tragedy that they had no idea about.
