The mass shooter from yesterday's deadly attack at a high school hockey game in Rhode Island has been identified.
Cops confirmed his identity as a trans father. The gunman was seen opening fire in the stands during the game, killing two people and leaving three more wounded before dying from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot injury.
At least three more people were critically injured, and both teams of students were reported to be safe after fleeing that same area.
Authorities described the incident as likely linked to a family dispute instead of a random act of violence.
The cops identified the suspected gunman as 56-year-old Robert Dorgan, who also made use of the name Roberta Esposito. Court records and interviews suggested that Dorgan had longstanding familial conflicts, some linked to very personal issues.
This included fights over gender identity after they underwent gender affirmation surgery.
