Iconic ‘Godfather’ and ‘Apocalypse Now’ Actor Robert Duvall DEAD

Legendary Hollywood actor Robert Duvall has passed away at the age of 95.

The tragic news was confirmed by his wife, Luciana, who shared the news on Facebook. She wrote: 'Yesterday we said goodbye to my beloved husband, cherished friend, and one of the greatest actors of our time. Bob passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loved ones and comfort- the message concluded.

The Academy Award-winning director and actor was a wonderful storyteller, and for her, he meant everything. His passions of the craft was only matched by his deep love for characters, a great meal, and holding court, she continued. Some of his top films included The Godfather, Tender Mercies, and Apocalypse Now.

For every role, she highlighted how the star gave everything to every role that he played over time, making sure that the performance he did was not only lasting but unforgettable.

The family has requested privacy to celebrate the memories that he has left behind. Duvall was born in San Diego, California, in 1931, and his father was a rear admiral in the US Navy. He and his two brothers were raised primarily in Annapolis.
