The search for Nancy Guthrie has entered its third week, with authorities speaking more in detail about how every minute counts to try to recover her.
Local authorities and the FBI carried out a joint raid yesterday in the middle of the night and detained three people for questioning. Soon after that, they were seen taking a vehicle of interest into custody while putting up a DNA tent around the car to retrieve some things located inside the trunk.
Retired FBI supervisory special agent Jason Pack says now it's a waiting game to try to get the DNA testing done as soon as possible because Guthrie, who needs heart medication, might still be alive.
She then argued that shipping forensic items through commercial services over a weekend might end up wasting time, and suggested that flying them immediately to a major federal lab like the FBI facility in Quantico, Virginia, might give rise to faster results.
Recent investigations included the execution of a federal search warrant at a residence near Guthrie's residence.
Several detentions during operations linked to the case, and the recovery of unknown DNA and gloves, might be linked to the disappearance.
