A mass shooting occurred at the Tumbler Ridge Secondary School in British Columbia.
At least 10 people were reported dead, including the suspected shooter, and more than 25 people were said to have been injured in the attack.
Sources from the police confirmed that six victims were found dead inside the school's premises, while one person passed away while being transported to the hospital. Furthermore, two more victims were found dead at a residence nearby. Authorities claim they believe that this is linked to the incident.
The suspected shooter was found dead at the scene, having killed himself with a self-inflicted gunshot injury. Authorities also shared how they don't believe there is any ongoing threat or more suspects.
First responders and RCMP officers arrived quickly after reports of the active shooter, and the school was believed to be put on lockdown before being evacuated. The suspect's identity is yet to be revealed as investigations continue, but sources claim he was dressed as a female.
