Rapper Lil Jon has just confirmed that his 27-year-old son, Nathan Smith, who was known professionally as DJ Young Slade, has passed away after his remains were found in a pond near his residence in Milton, Georgia.
Nathan was reported missing earlier in the week after leaving his home on February 3 under very unusual circumstances. He was seen walking out on foot and did not have his phone, and was described as potentially being disoriented.
Law enforcement rolled out a search that lasted a few days, involving local police and the Cherokee County Fire Department Dive Team.
On Friday, divers found his body in a pond at Mayfield Park close to the place where he was last seen.
Police shared more about how the remains are believed to belong to Nathan, and his family has been notified about the tragic news.
There is currently no indication of foul play, they added, but the investigation currently remains open.
