Police in Tucson, Arizona, have confirmed that blood found on the front porch of 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie's residence matches her DNA, raising mega concerns about her disappearance and prompting investigators to treat this property as a crime scene.
Nancy was last seen on January 31 and was reported missing the next day after she failed to appear for a church service. Authorities shared how she was taken from her residence against her will, but no suspects or persons of interest were identified publicly.
Days since her disappearance, law enforcement led by the Pima County Sheriff's Department and the FBI were seen working around the clock and rolling out a $50,000 reward for information that led to her recovery or an arrest.
Several ransom notes referenced specific items, and deadlines were shared with media outlets. One of those deadlines has already passed, as it was set for Thursday, 5:30 pm.
But officials say these notes don't entail proof of life and are still getting evaluated. One man was even charged in connection with a fake ransom attempt.
