Tragic reports have confirmed the death of Voice superstar and former alum Ifunanya Nwangene, who was better known by her stage name as Nanyah.
The vocal powerhouse passed away at the age of 26 after being bitten by a snake while she slept inside her home in Abuja, Nigeria.

She is believed to have suffered from a bite a few days back and was therefore rushed to a nearby local clinic that did not have the right medications to counteract the venom. Sadly, despite being rushed to another medical center, she just couldn't be saved and passed away on that same day.
The star first gained national attention on Season 3 of the popular hit show The Voice Nigeria, where her blind audition earned enthusiastic praise and a spot on the show's roster.

Her soulful, genre-blending voice had won her a growing fan base, and she was widely regarded as a promising young talent with a bright future in the world of music.
At the time of her death, she was preparing for her first solo concert and had teased new recordings on social media.
