A federal judge in America has ordered the release of a five-year-old child named Liam Conejo, whose image went viral across the US for being detained by ICE officials.
The judge also ordered the release of his father, Adrian Conejo Arias, from immigration detention after he was reportedly taken into custody by ICE in Minnesota on January 20.

The boy and his dad were detained during an ICE operation targeting immigrants with alleged illegal entry, and both were transferred more than a thousand miles to a detention facility in Dilley, Texas.
A viral image showing Liam in a blue bunny hat and a Spider-Man backpack surrounded by agents sparked national outrage and also major criticism of US ICE officials and their unjustified crackdown against the state's immigrants.

US District Judge Fred Biery was seen condemning the government's actions as ill-conceived and also dangerous to young kids, adding that the pursuit of deportation quotas should not override basic human rights and dignity.
